Buscamos un voluntario/a para que nos ayude en a realizar observaciones comportamentales de primates de 3 a 4 días a la semana.
Trabajarás en el Departamento de Primates de AAP España, dónde nos centramos en la recuperación de los diferentes primates que rescatamos, especialmente chimpancés y macaco de Berbería. Trabajarás bajo la supervisión de un cuidador de animales experimentado. Realizarás observaciones comportamentales y también ayudarás a informar de aspectos relativos a la alimentación, el comportamiento y la salud de los animales. Trabajarás siguiendo protocolos estrictos.
Requisitos
- Tener 18 años como mínimo (67 como máximo).
- Afinidad por los objetivos de AAP.
- Tienes conocimientos básicos de inglés hablado y escrito.
- Eres aplicado y puedes trabajar de forma independiente, así como en equipo.
- Disponibilidad mínima de 3 días a la semana.
- Se valorará experiencia etológica.

Volunteering in the Primates department, Animal care
We need volunteers for the Primate Area, for behavioural observations, minimum 3 days a week. CLOSED.
Your role
Do you live near Villena, are you interested in animal behaviour and would you like to volunteer with AAP Spain?
We are looking for a volunteer to help us with behavioural observations of primates 3 to 4 days a week.
You will work in the Primate Department of AAP Spain, where we focus on the recovery of the different primates we rescue, especially chimpanzees and Barbary macaques. You will work under the supervision of an experienced animal keeper. You will make behavioural observations and also help to report on aspects of the animals’ feeding, behaviour and health. You will work according to strict protocols.
Your baggage
- You are at least 18 years old (maximum 67).
- You have an affinity with AAP’s objectives.
- You have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
- You are dedicated and can work independently as well as in a team.
- You are available at least 3 days a week.
- Ethological experience is an asset.
