Tu rol
Estamos buscando un voluntario que nos ayude en el Área de Primates de AAP Primadomus donde, además de la recuperación física y psicológica de los animales, trabajamos para socializar a los macacos de Berbería y una vez conformamos grupos estables, les damos el cuidado que necesitan.
El voluntariado se realiza bajo la supervisión de un cuidador de animales experto y las tareas a desarrollar se centran principalmente en actividades de limpieza dentro y alrededor de las instalaciones de los animales (70% del trabajo diario). Además se realizan tareas de preparación de enriquecimiento para los animales, adecuación de las instalaciones exteriores y mantenimiento de las mismas. También ayudarás en el seguimiento de la nutrición, el comportamiento y la salud de los animales.
Requisitos
- Tener 18 años.
- Afinidad por los objetivos de AAP y buena condición física.
- Nivel básico de inglés, hablado y escrito.
- Eres ordenado/a y puedes trabajar tanto de forma independiente como en equipo.
- Trabajas de forma ordenada e higiénica.

Volunteering in the Primates department, Animal care
We are looking for help in ANIMAL CARE, learning more about working in the Primate Department with availability to start in June 2025, a minimum of 3 months, 5 days a week.
Your role
We are looking for a volunteer the help us in the Primates Department where, besides the physical and mental recovery, we aim for socializing the primates in stable groups (mostly Barbary macaques) forming new families. And once stable, we give them the care they need. You will work under the supervision of an experienced animal caretaker and will mainly focus on the cleaning activities in and around the animal enclosures (this is 70% of the daily work). In addition, you will make enrichment for the animals, help with the furnishing of the accommodation and with minor technical maintenance. You will also help with reporting peculiarities regarding the animals’ nutrition, behavior and health.
Your baggage
- You have reached the minimum age of 18 and you are EU resident.
- You like to work hard and you have affinity with the objectives of AAP.
- You have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English.
- You are in good physical health.
- You are accurate and can work independently as well as in a (fluctuating) team.
- You work in an orderly and hygienic manner.
